Overall: If God is kind, why did he allow this to exist

There are few series that have hurt me as thoroughly as Abaranger.  It is so cruel.  I'd saw so many clips of this show, it looked cute and fun.  Yet it decided to destroy me at random.
I absolutely love it.

I do not however know how necessary it was for this show to include an impregnation-via-rape plot.  It wasn't really what I was expecting in my sentai and was pretty horrible.  We could of probably got around it if we just had it be her baby that got possessed but we went with this.  It certainly added some extra emotions at the end.

Despite this, overall I liked Abaranger's take on being a parent.  It was one of my favourite elements of the show.

I love Ryoga, in full seriousness.  I love getting a red ranger that's also a single father.  He doesn't show any resentment for his daughter, he absolutely adores her.  She's not even his biologically, he adopted her and loves her so much.  It feels like something that's sadly rare in series.  Ryoga's such a good hard-working dad and I love him.

Yukito is some sort of rich gremlin that I love.  He grows so much over the series and starts to face the problems in his past.  He's a caring person that ends up loving his new sentai family.  I'm real proud of him.

I love Ranru!  She does so much for people's dreams.  She so talented and invents so much to save everyone regularly.  Her growth is also good but she's more about inspiring others than having to overcome a tragic past.  She does her good for now and teaches kids to go do science and stuff.

This is some sort of pure capsule, that contains pureness.  Asuka's story takes up a lot of the plot, then subplot.  However, it did a good job of making it something enjoyable.  He's also real cute in love.

Doctor Mikoto Nakadai is a danger to society and my heart.  I'm a perpetual edgy child so I love that we just have this one ranger that loves murder for some reason.  Mikoto is a walking disaster and he's so proud of it.  He's so much throughout the series and I love him.

Emmy is an angel who worked so hard on her outfit.  Maybe she didn't get good grades, maybe she competed for the lowest score on tests, but she's got talent and dino guts.  Emmy is a positive force and we should of given her her own blastsaur.

I can only truly recommend abaranger if you're able to handle rape and suicide plots.  While I enjoyed the show, these aren't things you can just skip over in it.  We also have a child with a crush on a very uninterested adult.

Also the actress for Regel was not good.
