Overall: This is cruelty to Shinji
It's the extreme cruelty of all the riders coming together to team up like Shinji never got to experience.
I'm primarily approaching this like I do Power Rangers, in which sense I'll say I think it held a story a lot better than most Power Rangers seasons. It was a lot less about morality lessons and did just go with a straight up story format. I'd like to see more of it, I think there should be space for this kind so show and it should be given that kind of space like yokai watch to pokemon. The issue is like pokemon we have the mindset of "oh this is The Power Rangers Media Type" so introducing something else in is hit with the "it's a rip off" attitude.
I liked Dragon Knight. I like Kit as the protagonist. Having him be so different from Shinji to the point of sending someone to the Shadow Re- Advent Void, helped to give the series its own identity and differentiate it. I really like the kind of character Kit was.
I liked having this very set just straight up evil villain, it's nice every so often.
I'm amazed by how little of the Zolda footage they used. Drew was just a straight up jerk, no redeeming qualities, and I appreciate that. As were most of the riders actually. Hence why we had to just get a ton of mirror versions of them for the end of series team up.
Watch Dragon Knight. It's something different and gives you a change of pace.
