Overall: Oh my god please stop writing it's only getting more ridiculous every time something new is added to this series

Ex-Aid is a beautiful disaster of a show. It's an absolute mess. It contradicts itself, it seems to have a very vague idea of what a video game. The premise of "what if humans caught computer viruses" is pretty decent. Then we just slowly fall into absolute nonstop nonsense.

It's a wild ride from start until... I don't truly believe Ex-Aid is over. I think there'll always be more Ex-Aid to come.

Emu is difficult, I honestly don't know how to feel about him. He's far from my favourite protagonist. Honestly at times he's just horrifyingly cruel, he really isn't the Soft type of character the show desperately wants you to think he is. I don't necessarily hate Emu but I'm kind of just neutral with him.

Hiiro has this potential, like there's many points in the series I thought "Finally, Hiiro's going to sort this out and start to recover". The issue is, Ex-Aid desperately doesn't want Hiiro to grow as a person, and would rather he continually relapses into his misery over the death of a girlfriend he never cared for when she was alive. Even after she has told him directly that she wants him to stop it and give up on her and move on with his life.
Ex-Aid writers, why did you write this if you weren't going to actually let him do it?

Taiga I feel more for. Kamen Rider Snipe definitely aided his story and let us see why he is who he is. He's also a really good brother character for Nico, and it feels really unnecessary for them to push a romance between the two.

This one is the angel that made me keep watching this show. I loved him instantly. This gay bike is the only reason they achieved anything in this show, without him they'd of never worked out a single one of the mysteries. He worked out like half the twists in the series in like a month. Kiriya is the only true genius in Ex-Aid (Show and Rider).

God cursed my home by making everyone in this series semi-related via his OCs (or their own OCs). I genuinely find Kuroto really funny and enjoy watching the chaotic man.

I love Parad. He's chaotic without excuse. He needs some serious help towards the end of the series though. Also Emu needs to hire like a babysitter instead of just leave Parad on the roof while he's working.

I love Nico so much, she will fight everyone she can and came in here ready to hire a hitman to take down Emu. She's also the only one who could beat rider chronicle and they had to nerf her. A horrible choice, I say we let Nico destroy Gamedeus with her own two hands.

If you choose to watch Ex-Aid, please watch the extras as well (except for Brave, which adds nothing to the story) because that's the only way you're getting the full story of Ex-Aid. You also need to read the novel which contradicts a load of the series but does add backstory details.
I'd say try Ex-Aid but just sit back and expect the wild ride.

Jokes aside I do agree with a lot of this. Ex aid was certainly one heck of a messy beautiful show that you both flabbergasted and went WHY. It was certainly one that went for emotions first and logical second,for better or worse. I do agree the concept was super cool and ngl,I wisj they had done more megamax formula since I feel the whole patient of the week formula got shrugged under the rug quickly and like you said,it got messy real quick. If there is one thing I disagree with its ex aids vague idea of video game as personally??? ex aid does reference video games a lot both obviously and in more subtle ways (subtle may not be the best way to describe the show but woe is me). I may misunderstood what you were saying tho.

Agree with Emu. I do like his character in concept but in exectuion...idk he just kinda is there. Like god I feel he is like you said too cruel but at the same time a twooy goodshoes and like...I still dont know if this is a character arc or not ,ex aids handling of character arcs is weird.

God words cant express how much I agree with your statement on Hiiro. Like I want to like him (and I do) but god every time when he gets character developement it just gets taken away because we need drama. Honestly I wish they did make his character arc more about opening up and becoming more kind like it seemed initally than the whole dead wife trauma or at the very least them handling said trauma differently. Like in principle Im not opposed in the whole "relapsing" thing since stuff like that happens sometimes...its just that it feels very forced and not organic ngl. Like just drama for dramas sake and it felt repetition of the same arc over and over again. The one thing I kinda have issue w your statement is the whole "never cared for" as I personally got the wibe it was more "you never know how much someone means to you til theyre gone". Granted it may be due to what happened in my personal life around the time I watched ep 6 (before you ask no,my gf didnt die) so may be a bit biased there. I do agree somewhat w the whole "b*tch just move on"
Also sidenote but tbh the way the show handled Hiiros "dead wife syndrome" as I like calling the trope reminds me so much of the way another character I like,unfortunately (Taranza from the Kirby franchise in youre curious. Well at least Taranza has an implied guilt complex because he fears he (unintentionally) caused his "gfs" downwardspiral and death than just the whole I accidentally neglected my gf because I cant socialize thing with hiiro)

Agree with Taiga and Kiriya ,not much can be said or added there that you didnt say already. Good boys and certainly among the better parts of the show. (that ex aid joke with kiriya tho. Ham your kiriemu is showing)

FINALLY SOMEONE SAYS SOMETHING POSITIVE ABOUT KUROTO IN THE YEAR OF 2019.Seriously starting to getting tired of people being very "uggh why do you like kuroto he is just a stale meme" . To those I say shut up and let us like our kamisama in please thank. Part of me wishes that the show treated him less like a meme and more like an actual character tho. (sidenote can I say I love the image you chose to him. Its glorious

Almost forgot Parad but ,I like Parad a lot. Like you said, a chaotic gremlin boy. Still unsure how I feel about his redemption at the end of the show tho. (also the the emu needs a babysitter comment was perfect)

I personally like Poppy a lot but I respect your opinion. Not much else to say really.

I like Nico tho I dont know how I feel about what happened to her in tthe end. On one hand it makes sense so Taigas arc and Nico was more of a suppotting character but I do see where people who wish Nico had become Cronus come from.

I still need to watch all the extras I only seen gorider and snipe episode zero. Also which brave special you mean? the one with Ouja or the brave/snipe Vcine??) Also do you know if the novel is translated and if so where you can read the novel?

But ye agree with a lot of it. Ex aid was...an experience and a wild ride from from start to finish. Cant say whether it was good or bad but objective opinions are a myth you know.

I do mean the Brave vcine with Ouja, I personally really liked BraveSnipe and didn't think it was the hetero mess everyone else thought it was.

While I'll take relapse on a journey to get better, Hiiro is a constant go right back to beginning completely forgot this entire lesson lets do it again we guess.

I'm a completely different opinion on Emu but I won't argue with you about it, it's how I read his character towards the end.

What I mean with ex-aid has a vague idea about video games is it has the dad (grandpa?) level understanding of video games where it's 2016 in the show and we're having this huge launch party for a 2D platformer and this games company has survived despite the fact none of its games have a save function. Also general genericness of all of Genm's games. While it works because we have more important stuff to deal with in this series, it is kinda just yea you've vaguely heard of types of video games in the 90s. It can be a bit weird at the start but it's something I got accustomed to as I watched it. The suspension of disbelief in ex-aid allows literally anything to happen in this universe, including Bang Bang Shooting being an arcade shooter and not a COD rip-off.

Also I'm trying to keep these strictly to the heroes of the series since that's really who anyone would want my opinion of.
